I was perusing around on The Columbus Dispatch website when I stumbled across an article about a polite bank robber. Seems this idiot, Feliks Goldshtein, waited politely in line wearing a ski mask for his turn to rob the bank.
Way to go uber! Something tells me you won’t be one of the upcoming CEO’s of a fortune 500 company.
Then I discovered the Dayton Daily News is reporting that the Dayton Public Schools hired a Cleveland based PR firm at $6,000 per month on an 18-month contract for a total of 108,000 to improve it’s image. The lone voice of sanity, Joe Lacey, who voted against the contract, was quoted as saying “We’re last place in the state in performance and I don’t think the answer to that is to get a slogan with more punch to it.” Yup Joe, I would have to agree with your logic on that one.
The article goes on to say that the PR contract is “to work on “image and brand enhancement” and to develop ways to boost enrollment in Dayton schools, which continues to lose students to charter schools.”
Umm, ya – how about you just improve the quality of your product!
